Well, I'm just raring to write again. I'm not much of a writer but hey, this whole MAC thing ain't for nothing. I must admit that I've read or followed blogs in the past, but I truly never expected it (the BLOG fad) from a Vincentian body. I guess I was lost in a time warp.
I have at least 3 friends who write blogs or run their own (personal) websites, and I know of probably 8 persons who have attended or are still attending college who blog regularly, whether it be on Blogger, hi5, or facebook. In addition to that...... well, you get the point. Vincies blog. And pretty good too, but I wouldn't take the privilege of advertising strangers blogs for them (lol).
It's good to see potential being converted to talent (what good is potential anyway?). Although there still exists a society where certain talents are looked down upon, or just plain ignored, the Internet serves as a display of these talents for those who would appreciate them. I love that, because otherwise I might not know about certain things <insert special ability and related talented person>.
Then I must admit that there is an effort by certain organizations and such to realize 'young' people (what happen to the in-between people who didn't get that chance, huh?). Such things as YUTE Magazine, Ministries of Tourism and Culture, and a few others, have realized that certain people don't want to become teachers, secretaries, accountants, lawyers, doctors, or garbage people. Not all persons have the gift or entrepeneurship you know(myself included)!
